Pink Lake, Victoria, Australia

Not pink - better luck next time
The lake wasn’t pink but it’s close to the highway with plenty of parking so worth a visit if Yu happen to drop by. Try access to the lake is not pathed so not suitable for wheelchair access or rainy days. The lake smelt like rotten fish but apparently its bacteria in the water that gives it a pink colour. There is a shaded sitting area and public toilets.

Beautiful pink salt lake - well worth a stop
Large pink lake which was almost dry when we visited it early January but still looked pink - it was covered with a thick layer of crunchy pink salt! You can walk over it - it’s beautiful. Some parts of the lake still had some water, while other parts were slushy (like slushy snow). Very popular spot to stop and there is allocated parking, picnic tables with shade, and long drop toilets. Good place to stop and stretch your legs.

Liquid Rose Quartz
This could not have been better, could not have veen more spectacular, or stunning, or pink. Superb. I was dizzy with pink. It was a glorious day. Sunny, windless, perfect to visit this natural wonder. I happened to be wearing my big rose quartz pendent, and this lake was like walking in liquid rose quartz. Be sure to take gum boots, salt can be sharp.
