Watching a water rat swim
Today I spent an hour watching a water rat swim in the creek opposite library. I grew up in the country and had never seen one in wild before. Amazing Nice viewing platform in park at library

Kananook area
Today my walk was along the Seaford to Kananook part of this reserve and it was a peaceful time with everyone at home recovering from Christmas. The small birds were out in the coastal woodlands, but water birds seemed to be not around. The path is in good condition here, but made of earth and uneven, with a few climbs. The bridge crossings towards the beach are handy.

Always an interesting walk
It was quiet today around Seaford, with few ducks around, but a lot of parrots (mostly Rainbow Lorikeets). We walked by the creek for a bit and had our lunch on the bench seats by the Creek.
