Great teen summer holiday
Just had a week on the 'Deluxe' houseboat with 2 mums and the rest teens aged between 17-19. We had a great time and would do it again. This was the lower end of the houseboat fleet, and if we did it again we would like to go up to the next model for a little more space in bedrooms and bed sizes. Also there was no evap cooler or aircon in the bedrooms and it was very hot some nights. I was ok, but some other were definitly too hot, so a couple of nights some of them even slept out under the stars. We spent time swimming (those that were keen in the murray as it is not clear water). playing games, a little wakeboarding with friends we met up with there, and of course eating and plenty of drinks. I did a click and collect for the whole weeks groceries, and I was pleased I took a couple of extral large eskies for the beverages.

A good break in not so good times for some
Our experience with Infinity was good. It was great opportunity to get away whist we could. Bedrooms are very tight with the king-size beds. Not hard boat for size to handle even with motors mounted together and being relatively ‘rectangular barge’ not like a boat. Being able to close off top deck made going in April good option as was very cold at night. Unfortunately, there just seems to be a lack of fixing minor stuff, moreover having processes to ensure everything does work before next hire, i.e. check list and problem list for user to flag there are issues! These times of limited use/off season would be best time to go over and sort out the annoying problems. I suspect others have same problems but appears to be “new” Echuca Luxury Houseboat operators, bit like Groundhog Day. I did wonder at end would the operators blame us for the problems that we inherited with no warning. Suggest doing an inspection and ask questions before departure. Top deck dishwasher; did not work after was loaded!!! Appears to have not worked for a while by the state of it, frustrating when have to unload and hand wash for rest of trip or cart dishes down rear ladder. Spa kept tripping, ok for me as knew how to sort out but others many not. Some room sinks did not drain at times when boat was on flat water. Rudder / helm feedback had so much slop in linkage so was useless until secured with wire cage of champaign bottle cork and ‘adjusted’ linkages. Overall, we had a great trip despite the minor inconveniences. Would do it again.
