Pretty Creek

Parked at waterfall car park and walked back to road bridge over creek. Beautiful scene of creek winding through scrub towards hills. Till reading prior reviews I was unaware of rock stacking tradition at beach estuary. Will return again with kids who’d love that afternoon project.

Great way to leave something behind for others to see
We had read about the rock stacks and definitely wanted to stop, add a stack each and keep going, when we got there there were not too many around but the place was definitely where the stacks were to be made, loads of flat rocks. Well worth the time to do if you want a little fun doing something different on the way down the Great Ocean Road

Interesting to see (but careful with GPS)
We searched Carisbrook Creek on Google Maps, and ended up in a dead end mud-filled dirt road into a forest ... after traveling a long way pass Beech Forests. Good thing we had a 4WD. Visitors to this site do be careful. Thankfully, we weren’t the only ones lost. There were two other cars looking for the same place in the wrong place. You can’t go wrong if you go by the Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay, and turn off at Carisbrook Falls (do not trust goggle maps). You can park there and walk across to the beach area to see the rock stacks. There were a few interesting rock formations to view. Glad we eventually found the place ...
