Catch a glimpse of the spectacular views
The Bay of Martyrs itself is 2.5 kilometres long and inside the bay there are two smaller bays; Crofts Bay and Massacre Bay. This lookout can be accessed by all as it is wheelchair accessible. The lookout offers breathtaking views. There are great opportunities along the coast here for those who are serious photographers...( I am more of a point and shoot person) but I can imagine what a serious photographer could achieve. It is stunning and well worth stopping to look at this view.

Wild and windy but so worth the stop
Bay of Martyrs in the early morning light is rather spectacular as the direct sunlight really picks up the colour of all the cliffs. It also gives great access down to the beach and ability to get up close to the cliff faces. Just up the road from Peterborough it is well worth the stop with easy access for all - even the dog. You can do the view in a matter of minutes but you'll spend much more time here if you go down to the beach.

Great views
When we visited the car park was virtually empty so we just sat in the car for a while overlooking the bay having our packed lunch and a coffee. The views of the rugged coastline were amazing even though the weather was windy and the waves were getting up. This was yet another great stopping off point to take in the views whilst on our four-day drive of The Great Ocean Road.
