A sporting nation
This Museum tells the history of sport in Australia, which is truly a sporting nation. Apart from notable sporting memorabilia, there are intereactive displays which will entertain the younger generation. The museum is something to be proud of. a record of achievemnt.

Worth a visit
I toured the MCG but didn’t visit the museum. Lack of time. The tour is interesting. You step onto the oval, you go to the change rooms & medical treatment area & then up to level 4 with interesting stops along the way. There are surprisingly great views of Melbourne & the sporting precinct. My only criticism is it is a bit rushed. You want to listen to your guide as he has interesting facts but then there is no time to take photos as you have to get to the next spot & be finished in 75 minutes. Allowing 90 minutes would give more time for photos. Go as early as possible as later tours usually appear to have bigger groups. Well worth a visit
