Gorgeous and worth the hike!!

It took us about 2.5 hours of mildly strenuous hiking to get there and it was worth every second. Sure the lake is much smaller right now (sep/2021) than it normally is but the water was just as stunning and I was still breath-taken. The hike was not terribly difficult, but I wouldn’t recommend taking children or going if you have any major health issues as it was definitely not a walk in the park. Amazing views the whole way though!

Outstanding lake and hike!
Outstanding hike, beautiful lake, medium difficulty. We took trail 215 from Passo Tre Croci. It was a 10.8km hike to the lake and back, my watch showed 445m total climbing which includes hiking around the lake and back. For out of shape people the climbing will be challenging, but worth it. The are a few exposed sections with cables to hold on to for safety but they aren't really needed if you aren't afraid of heights.

This is not the place for beginners or tourists to hike.
This is not the hiking for beginner or tourists ! Please check weather before going or if you wanna get the lake with full water, October onwards may not be good time. Get fit, have professional hiking shoes, water, sandwiches or gloves to be ready for hike. Parking is normally beside the road.
