Magical Visit

In the 1980s the Bortolomiol family purchased and subsequently renovated an ancient silk mill in the heart of Valdobbiadene: the sympathetic restoration was carried out with regard for the industrial archaeology and the character that the complex had at the beginning of the last century. The complex of buildings renovated by the Bortolomiol family is the smallest of the four that existed in the Valdobbiadene area at the start of the 1900s and is in the centre of the town, inside a splendid Park – the Parco della Filandetta – which hosts the organic vineyard, the first winery, an avenue of ancient hornbeams and some works by the sculptor Casellato. The silk mill has now been converted into a bright and spacious tasting room and is today an Art & Wine Farm, or rather a showcase for all the skills involved in winemaking, a new concept where art and culture come together and enhance each other.

Great winery with a nice and informative wine tasting. The tour of the winery was at around 15 minutes, a perfect length, before we moved inside to taste the wines, paired with some ham and cheese. We learned about the wines and was left in peace to drink them, a perfect combination. The whole experience was great.

    Not to be missed
Maybe the biggest positive surprise of our recent winetasting visit to Valdobbiadene. A prosecco winery run by four generations of women, they are large and successful, but have not lost a great, personal focus on visiting customers. Very nice and spacious winery, great tasting facilities and the product is awesome. As icing on the cake, there is a nice and safe internal courtyard for kids to run around, while the adults get educated in all things prosecco....
