Small but lovely!
It is a small open air museum. We were there during the Samisk veckan (the sami week) in march and they had activities and real reindeer on the premises :) Thanks to a recent snowfall and perfect blue sky it was a great day to visit the museum. The museum building also houses some interesting collections and exhibitions about the region.

Free admission
I asked the gentleman at the reception about what’s inside that museum. And I was surprised : it’s bigger than it looks from the outside. Plus the outside area, which is filled with life by costumed staff. In one of the houses on the farm they were baking bread. Flatbed. And I was given a sample. That was real great! As it is free admission: everyone should go there. In the unlikely event, that one doesn’t like it = feel free to leave.

A museum with benefits! Far more interesting, and fun.
Beautiful museum, from local social history, interesting art, and videodisplays to ancient ski's. The unexpected benefit is the restaurant and the garderobe: It serves also as the starting point / dressing room for the local tourski / langlauf enthousiasts. We did a nice round on the ski's outside and afterwards we went through the museum, we stayed far longer then we expected beforehand because it had so much more. The restaurant is and suits here perfect. We had a marvelous afternoon.
