Surprisingly good

Surprisingly positive experience. A great place to cool down in the heat and look at the wonderful plants and animals…and, of course, palms. Only downside was that the speed of the website was slow, so the audio commentary never worked, but still well worth the time.

    THE BEST OF THE PALMERAL
This garden is tranquil. Its prime point of interest is the Imperial Palm, named after the 1894 visit to Elche by Empress Elisabeth of Austria. The trickle of water here and there is calming. Ducks and peacocks hold sway. There is an entry fee and a gift shop. If you can visit late in the afternoon, it is a really nice venue to end off the touring day.

    A green oasis
Well worth a visit . For a small entrance fee you can spend a leisurely hour ( or more) walking through the forest of palm trees and other tropical plants . There are various ponds with wild life as well as the peacocks roaming . Plenty of opportunities for fab photos . I’ve attached photos of the entrance as it easily missed . We parked for free on the streets about 5 min walk from the park
