Lovely anywhere but in Valencia, heaven!
This is a fairly small ornamental garden hidden away near the Museum of Fine Arts (Belles Artes) and the Royal Gardens (Jardin Real). It's lovely with well-tended displays of roses, climbing plants on an extensive pergola and mature and interesting species of trees. There are plenty of benches to sit on, usually strategically placed in the shade. There is a short but pleasant 'woodland walk' up a small hill feature, complete with wooden bridges and look-out points. Most of all, there is peace and quiet in which to relax, read, picnic or, judging from the number of couples hidden away, to indulge in more romantic activities. There are attendant staff and gardeners, who are all very friendly and it is a safe spot. Valencia has something for everybody, but for people who love peace and quiet too this is one of its highlights!

The Secret Gardens
An intimate space with wonderful statues and sculptures, ornate ponds and decorative floral displays over lattice. Hidden peacefully away off the busy surrounding streets, (I walked by these gardens several times assuming it was a private area) popular for wedding and traditional costume photography. French Neoclassical influence. Beautiful!

Beautiful miniature
The garden layout is absolutely stunning, the amount of variety and views presented in such a relatively small space is breathtaking. Very much of the italianate form the footpaths wind through the garden showcasing the avenues of yew bushes surrounding formal rose gardens, avenues of trees providing surprise views of beautiful statues. The number of statues within the garden are too many to count and the arrangement within the space brilliant. There is a different 'view' around every turn.
