Great place to chill and explore

This is a great place to relax for a while. We came as part of a day tour so only got about an hour but longer would be great too. Near the buildings is where the warmer water comes out of the mountain and into the river so that area has a nice temperature. Away from that area cools down a bit but we went in late November and the river temps were still good. Make sure to swim away from the main area to the west as the water and the canyon is beautiful. There is a cave you can swim into and if you have a guide, an area you can get to to jump off a small cliff into the deeper part of the river.

    Beautiful place, with uncomfortable parking
The parking is a pain in the a**!! You only can pay with coins and the machine doesn’t give you change! There is no way to pay more than 2 hours! Every 2 hours you need to walk 15 minutes to pay again!!! But..... The place it is amazing, it is so beautiful. The water it is super clean and the landscapes are gorgeous!

Nice swim up in the mountains
The place is a bit more than an hour's drive north of Valencia through winding mountain roads. Best to park across the bridge after the town of Montenejos, and be sure to display the parking ticket on the dashboard because we saw it being checked. The main swimming area is about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot, and would be good to wear sandals because of the pebbles in the shallow end of the river. The water is not really warm despite it being a hot spring, and it gets a bit deeper farther up the river away from the main area.
