Great island

Excellent island near Espoo, like many other islands too. Nice place for outdoor activities and outdoor barbeque. Definitely worth visit.

Stora Herro Island
I have often seen this island from the shore line and wanted to get out there and see what it was all about. This winter we were lucky enough for the sea to freeze over thick enough for us to ski out to look at the island. Once there it is a little disappointing - the 'Roman Temple' looking structure is just a folly - there is nothing else there - I am not too sure why this was placed there but there it is.

A must-visit place for all at least once
The access to this place is not the easiest but the boats do go pretty punctually. In case you have your own boat you are looking at a pretty much easier option. The island itself is mid-sized and there are plenty of fire places to cook you meal. Also swimming possibilities are arranged and sun bathing in the prettiest landscapes around.
