A piece of history
This medieval stone sacristy is the only surviving part of the former St. Jacob´s church in Nummi. The wooden church was destroyed after falling to disrepair. After that a new church was decided to be constructed, this time using stone as building material. Only the old sacristy reminds us about the former church that once stood on this place. The sight is seen pretty quickly as the inside of the building is restricted to church and cemetery staff only (a morgue is located inside now). The sight is located inside the walls of a churchyard so respect is good to be remembered when visiting this place.
