    Amazing hiking experience
We went there by bus (245A) on a sunny day in late September for a hiking trip. We started in Kattila and followed the trail to Haltia (about 9 km). The trail was clearly marked. The scenery was absolutely stunning - the forest all dressed in fall colors and lakes with crystal clear water. Don't forget to bring a bag for your trash, as there are no trash bins to be found.

    Tranquil walk in Finnish woodland
For tourists looking for public transport to a national park, I recommend this (even though people would say there are more dense forests in Finland). The walks are very peaceful and scenic and the lakes looked oddly picturesque despite being frozen over. You can see various birds and animals on paths to Haukkalampi and Kattila - though the Haukkalampi trail is popular for tourists so I advise getting there early.
