Today we had visited as Hevisaurus played at the Peacock Theatre inside Linnanmäki. As always, we go check out some of the free rides (for the younger ones) as the boy loves them and he's too small for most things. Had a bit of fun before the concert. The theatre itself was nowhere near as small as I expected. Only though 200 people or so would be going...it was closer to 600! We had an amazing time. This band is just fantastic for the kids. Being a big metal fan, I loved it of course. They're great with the kids in the audience and put on a great 60/70 mins. The theme park itself is a tad expensive for some things but expected with the rising energy costs etc. If you're here on holiday, I'd say go. If you live here....you've got all summer so try get there.

New and nostalgic rides
Among the thrilling new devices presented every year some long time favourites still gather audiences. The wooden roller coaster is 70 years old, one of the first when the amusement park was opened in 1950. The merry-go-round with painted wooden animals to ride on attracts children of all ages as does the carousel with chairs swinging in the air. There is no entrance fee but the ticket price for a wrist band is 42 euros for all ages.
