Situated next to the sea in an historic industrial setting, Gumbostrand Konst & Form is a one-of-a-kind combination of art gallery, design shop, café-restaurant and inspiring corporate conference and event facilities - all under one roof. This unique art and event totality is located in a reverently restored 1950s Hartwall factory building in the Gumbostrand district of Sipoo, just a 30-minute trip from the Helsinki city centre. The old factory now embarks on a new exciting era, as the time-honoured Tegelhuset opens its doors to everyone with an interest in contemporary Nordic art, design and handicrafts, in addition to beautiful aesthetics and delicious food! Airy modern art gallery, shop and restaurant only 30 minutes from Helsinki or Porvoo
This beautiful and airy modern art gallery is worth of visiting! The extraordinary location is on the seaside just 30 minutes drive from Helsinki or Porvoo. Or why not to bicycle there, then continue to Porvoo and take a bus or boat (J.L Runeberg) back to Helsinki - the latter of course in summertime. The high exhibition space is excellent for the modern art and they arrange interesting and exciting exhibitions. There is a good shop to buy modern Finnish artifacts & art and the small restaurant offers simple but delicious food. A great visit!

Fantastic pit stop while cycling from Porvoo to Helsinki
Gumbostrand is conveniently located exactly halfway between Porvoo and Helsinki and is a lovely, scenic place to make a slight detour to when travelling between the two towns. The Konst & Form comprises of a large airy cafe with tasty drinks, ice cream, pastries and salads as well as a surprisingly good art gallery. We found a number of great paintings from talented finnish artists. I have to mention the exceptionally clean and spacious, luxurious bathrooms and lockers which made our short visit there even more comfortable!
