    Two fine exhibitions
Finns have previously admired the colourful paintings of Estonian Konrad Mägi nearby at Kumu in Tallinn, now they have been gathered into a large exhibition in Espoo. Three interesting sections show his wide talent - the portraits of women, the bright landscapes from Northern Europe and the strong impression Italy made on him. He died a rich man unlike many of his contemporaries but sadly from mental illness. Finnish Aaron Heino goes his own way explaining on the video how he came to work with forms based on dried fruits. You wouldn't guess the source by looking at the big sculptures made of aluminium and partly covered with glossy paint.

Interesting set of museums under one roof
The modern art part of the museum was very interesting, some striking pieces. In the Children's Museum a very informative attendant described the exhibits of children's toys grouped in decades of the 20th century. 10 euros admission. The museum is in WeeGee, accessible by 105 bus from Kamppi to Tapiola, get off at Stockmann's, about 15 min. ride, 4 euros per person. Bus 109 to return to Kamppi, another 4 euros per person.
