A must see
I wish this museum was still open! George Washington Carver is a key figure in history and his findings are still relevant today. This museum showcases a great number of Carver's accomplishments, inventions, beliefs, etc. When the museum opens back up I would recommend a visit!

Carving Out a Peanut Solution
This museum details the work of George Washington Carver, a black scientist who worked to provide a better living for poor residents of the antebellum South. The museum provides lots of interesting examples of Carver;'s works. In early 2020, the museum was a bit run down, and one has the impression that it suffers from financial neglect. Several of the displays had videos that were inoperable, and the movies in the lower level were in a room that provided very poor acoustics and screen visibility. The museum is really very good, and it would be a shame if Washington is neglecting it. Near the museum are the gravesites of Carver and Booker T. Washington, who led the institute.

Museum closed but Tuskegee Institute beautiful
We knew the G. W. Carver Museum was closed, so just went to see Tuskegee Institute. It is beautiful, but due to Covid only one way in and out. Still worth the visit. Nice old buildings, cemetery with Carver and Washington graves. Also saw The Oaks from the outside only. This would be 5 star when everything opens.
