    Stunning art works
I think for the time we spent there it is pricey, but i love art and enjoyed myself so it doesn’t bother me. They put the prices up from €12 during off peak times to €20 in peak times.. The museum is beautiful there is a lot of security so they are keeping you and the art work really safe, there are beautiful pieces there by angelo, di vinchi, Botticelli & more that you will not see anywhere else in the world.. they are stunning & breathtaking if you are a an art lover go!

No wonder it’s the most visited museum!!! But don’t try to see everything in I’ve visit!
Revisiting after so many years was bitter sweet because the temporary access route is so poorly marked … & even though with my limited mobility obliging me to employ a highly visible cane .. it transpired not one gallery person suggested how to access via the very poorly marked lifts! So watch THAT ! Even if you’re not physically handicapped in any way it’s arguably smarter to use the lift to the 2nd floor & walk DOWN.. & then out! I am impressed with the LED lighting now employed, as I particularly are with the fantastic wall colors on the first floor.. I can’t understand why colour hadn’t been also used for both the wonderful re-hang of Botticelli & the other masterpieces on the top floor… it’s a great error of judgment in my opinion! The surprise café reveals not so much any culinary excitement ( very ordinary fare alas ) but the extraordinary views make resting up here for a bit not just sensible but truly worthwhile . The smart thing obviously is to buy a timed ticket in advance & go very early ( 50 % discount!!!) or around 4 pm when the crowds have x disappeared… but beware of the cafe closing !!!!!! So go there first !
