Breathtaking views and a cultural must view in Trabzon

Highly enjoyable end of the day activity. Having arrived at Trabzon and walked around the city center and there after the seaside our family took an invigorating walk soaking the city’s sites with the HagiaSophia as the final destination. Breathtaking views and a lovely breeze while enjoying the history of the location. Ended it with a meal in the neighboring Gardens restaurant

Fun historical stop for the whole family.
This place is beautiful and worth the visit. It's smaller than the one in Istanbul, but you are able to see more of the paintings. The main entrance/building is currently an active Mosque so be mindful of prayer times, coverings, and shoes. I would love to see more of the original artwork inside the the main building, but the outer room still has some Byzantium Era paintings intact which depicts different Christian stories from the Bible. Note: If your a female please ensure you wear a head covering while inside.

    Nice visit and historic
Nice Museum/Mosque. Very easy to get to as just off the main road. Hardly anyone there and had some nice items. The paintings are quite nice, although in the outer areas, have been badly chipped and damanged but the ceiling is still very nice. Inside the main area is quite large (nothing like Istanbul) but good to go into. They have made this a Mosque as well so the really beautiful paintings on the ceiling are hard to see as they have frosted glasse discs hanging so you cant really see them. Appreciate though that you can go in (other than prayer time) and see.
