    Important local historical monument
    It is well worth a visit to the replica Bandirma boat in Samsun which transported Ataturk on his historic trip to Samsun. As Samsun is intrinsically linked to the formation of the Turkish Republic the museum describes his voyage from Istanbul and shows his bedroom and living quarters. The outdoor museum also holds some military installations. Entrance fee is only 5 tlr. You can spend about an hour there.

    Awesome!
    Yes it is a replica of the boat Ataturk took to Samsun but it is still an excellent experience. I would go there again in a heartbeat and wish I could have stayed longer the first time.
