First time to Tulsa Zoo
First time visitor - nice zoo but some things should be improved upon. A few of the buildings were closed so we missed out on a number of animals. We got there when they opened so everything was clean and ready for visitors. Maps just inside gates are easy to read and help you decide what area you want to see first. The souvenir cup is a good value and good prices aren’t crazy high. I purchased a salad from the grille (romaine, grape tomatoes, feta (I think), green onion and breaded chicken) - all was fresh but chicken should have been grilled not breaded as cold breaded chicken just was soggy. Also, only had Heinz ranch out on condiment station that was room temp and didn’t taste good. When I asked if they had any other dressing I was told they were out. Check dressing options before getting salad in case you can’t do dairy or just don’t do dairy. Size was good - it filled me up. I will come back just plan better and maybe bring my lunch and just have a snack in the zoo. All employees I encountered were professional but not happy. One of the cooks noticed that someone knocked a large picture loose and went to fix it right away kudos to him for looking out for the guest! The kids really loved the large playground! The train is great as transport from one side of the zoo to the other but most of the time no one could hear about the animals or enclosures because the constantly was squeaking really loud! Needs to have some maintenance or grease. All and all a good day!

Very Enjoyable
There's plenty to see and do at this zoo. It will entertain the smallest children, while keeping the interest of teenagers. The price is fair and relatively inexpensive. Very clean and well maintained. It's a good afternoon trip. You won't be able to stay most of the day, like in a big city zoo, such as St. Louis, but this is well worth a few hours!
