Bush Concert

Hubby and I went to see Bush here and the concert was awesome. The theater is old and very interesting to look at inside. We purchased tickets in the seated area, first section of the D seated area. We were pretty close to the stage and ended up standing during the concert. Sound was awesome, we had no trouble seeing the band and stage, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Drink prices were standard. The balcony was closed during this show but it would be neat to go another time and get balcony seats.

    Rumors
We went to see the Fleetwood Mac tribute band and they did an outstanding job. This was my first time in the theatre and the only upgrade I would make next time is to not sit in section A or E- both have a speaker (from the ceiling) that partially blocks your view. Choose section B, C or D

    Interesting venue
I've been to the Brady Theater twice this year. Once for a concert, and the other time for a comedy show. I also have tickets for another concert in November. The Brady Theater hosts some of the best musical acts in Oklahoma. The sound quality for the concert I attended was excellent, and I appreciated the wonderful vintage atmosphere of the place. However, I can't give a positive review for a couple of reasons. 1) Parking is absolutely terrible. You'll just have to cross your fingers and hope you can find street side parking within a decent walking distance. I am not very familiar with the area, so if there were better parking options available, they weren't clearly marked. I ended up having to walk quite a distance in the rain for one of the shows. 2) The second reason I can't personally give a positive review is that the seats are the smallest I've ever seen (I'm talking REALLY small), and are extremely uncomfortable for larger or taller people. I know that most average sized people won't have any trouble, but if you are a person of size, you'll likely not fit into the seats. I'm a bigger person - not huge - and the seats were entirely too snug for me. Sadly, I witnessed another larger couple sitting in front of me for the comedy show who were not even able to fit into their seats. After trying for several minutes and realizing it just wasn't going to work, they both had to stand in the back of the theater for the entire event. A taller guy was sitting next to me at the other show, and his knees were completely buried into the seat in front of him, so much so that he had to sit at a very unnatural angle. I felt very sorry for him. So, if you're average to smaller sized, and have good luck with parking, I would give the venue a 4 star review, and would suggest you visit without hesitation. But for me personally, after the November show I'm attending, I won't visit the Brady again unless they do a major remodel and add larger seats because they just can't comfortably accommodate me. I'll stick with Cain's. If you're a person of size, I would also recommend that you choose another venue.
