Built in 1929 and arranged as "English gardens" the Roses park was for decades an iconic place of Timisoara. Destroyed by bombs in 1944 , during WW II , and got rebuilt after - used to be populated with more 1200 roses. Today it is beautiful especially in in spring when the roses bloom, however it could be much more to it than it is today. Visiting is free of charge so if you are in the area, you can take a walk in the park and admire the roses.

One of the most beautiful parks of Timisoara
Definitely one of the most beautiful parks of Timisoara, you can see here when its its season some really nice roses, plus this is a place that often hosts events like street food or beee festivals or concerts. I recommend you visit it while you are in the city.

Amazing park
It is amazing starting with may when the flowers are flourish. Do not miss the Roses park, it is in the center of Timisoara, next to the Bega river. After visiting the Cathedral, take a walk on Bega, in 10 minutes you are here. Be carefull of the homeless guys, this is something not beautiful. But they are a few and most of the time there is police taking care of the people. The place is worth to be visited. There is a scene for concerts, live movies, sometime you can have some artist envirovment. We enjoy all the time to come here again and again.
