pleasantly surprised!
Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised! Lots of soace, large rooms, very good condition. Contemporary recent not too exciting but the Corneliu Baba was well worth seeing, covering pretty much the whole of the 20th century.

Wonderful Building
The building is wonderful, and I appreciate that the light doesn't cause any issues when admiring the works of art. However, except for the Romanian artists, I found the exhibit kind of disappointing.

During special events they have also classical music, which makes the museum special
The museum has a permanent section where you may see paintings from Romanian classics, from European art and Byzantine religious art. From Romanian classics you may see some paintings of Nicolae Grigorescu, Luchian, Andreescu and Tonitza. In European section I Iiked a replica of Leonardo da Vinci's Madonna with child. We visited the museum during the Museums' Nights and we enjoyed the recitals of the students from Music High School which took place in baroque hall. This was a special bonus, which really brought a special emotion in our souls.
