A must see in Timisoara

This museum is a must see if you want to understand the 1989 Revolution. The revolution began in Timisoara. I saw the introductory video and walked through the many exhibits on two floors. You can watch the revolution unfold in several rooms, each of which focuses on one or two days in December 1989. There were photos and children's art as well as art installations. It is a comprehensive museum and I would highly recommend a visit here.

    Perfect ! Thank you !
We really enjoyed this museum. We even stayed much more than expected. It was the kind of museum where you are enough interested to look at every poster, picture and read almost every explanation. It was clear, striking, smart. There were very nice pictures, strong objects and limpid explanations. We liked the artistic and "low budget" side of the museum, were you can see that a lot of posters are hand made and crafty, which adds a charm to the visit. We entered knowing not much about the revolution and left feeling fully satisfied of the knowledge we acquired. At the end you can see a movie made by the staff of the museum, which sums up perfectly the exposition and leaves you with a very clear idea of the revolution and its chronology. The goal is reached while having a great moment. This is eyes closed a MUST if you go to Timisoara.

    Interesting visit
Because of the 30 years since the revolution, we decided to visit theuseum for the first time. Very informative and interesting museum and the staff was amazing. The gave us a proper introduction to the museum before we started walking around, which was highly appreciated, especially by me since history is not my strongest discipline. The building itself is also interesting, although it was little bit difficult to find because of the lack of any signs or so. The only minus was that it was really cold in the museum, so bring your hat and gloves when visiting!
