A wonderful walk
I had the amazing opportunity to walk through this picturesque island when there was nearly no-one else around. This island offers many walking paths (paved and unpaved) that meander through the woods, offering great views of the bay. The large trees are full of singing birds and it is easy to enjoy the peaceful scenery. Don't miss this location if you have the chance!

Casual stroll around the island
Small little island with its charm. We strolled around the island and managed to take some really nice pictures. It was an easy walk and one simply has to pay a fee to enter the island using the Fukuurashima bridge to cross into the island. There were some small structures scattered around the island.

not a lot to see, but enjoyable
this is a great way to kill some time in matsushima but it's not a must see... the best part is probably the beautiful, long red bridge. there are some nice photogenic spots located around the island but nothing really out of the ordinary.
