the best way to see Bhutanese textiles

This is a beautiful museum, showcasing the variety of Bhutanese textiles, and makes you appreciate the intricacy of the different motives. If you're lucky , you can see weavers at work. The shop offers a selction of textiles from the whole country, you have a bigger choice here than in the areas they were made.

Beautiful showcasing of tradiotional weavings
This modern building built in traditional style houses a very fine collection of the beautiful bhutanese handwoven cloth. A video display even shows you how the residents actually get dressed in the morning. A must see, very small and well laid out and even has a very reasoanble gift shop.

Textile walk
It is a place to understand the development of Bhutan textile history and the different area style of clothing. You can enjoy the different displays and the beautiful workmanship of the design. Don"t forget the colour as well. You can also see the weaving of the textile. You can not picture of the textile in the exhibition.
