    A Benchmark for Wine Tasting
Our tasting was led by Sarah. She MADE the experience 5* vs 4*. Her knowledge of Texas terroir, grape varietals and William Chris wines was extensive. The wine was all from TX grapes and it was very good. I was expecting your average supermarket wines, their wine much, much better with most bottles around $50 - very manageable. The grounds were nicely landscaped and the panoramic views of the hill country- wow. We had arranged for box lunches and the sandwich/salad/fruit/cookie were good. To add to the experience a duo was playing jazz - perfect to linger and enjoy our lunch with a bottle of the Hunter

    A wonderful tasting experience!!!
William Chris was our 3rd stop of four during the first day of our Fredericksburg weekend winery tour. We made reservations for their Winemaker's tasting and was greeted with a welcome rose sample and escorted to the tasting room which is located in an old farmhouse. Ashley took us on our wine journey and she was such a joy to be with. We experienced 5 of their samplings along with a few more complimentary tastings and enjoyed them all. We then purchased two glasses of wine to enjoy and spent that time with Ashley because she was such great company. The only disappointment at first was finding out the building we thought we were going to (the one you see in their pictures) is their member's area because it's such a beautiful building (and the reason my wife selected WC to visit) but that quickly faded during the visit. It was also neat seeing one of the owners (Chris) walking around talking to folks which we were told he's usually there every Saturday. Overall, a great experience and William Chris should be on your list of wineries if you're visiting the area.
