Tour
We dropped by because of the beautiful historic theater design and were welcomed by everyone to look around. Wish we could have stayed for a movie, but we were on tour. It really is a special site. The huge theatres don't feel as special or exciting. Worthy of support for sure!

Baylor SING!
Visiting friends in Waco, we always enjoy Baylor University events- Football, Basketball, Baseball games, Acro competitions, tennis matches, etc. The school always has something going on, and their sports teams are crazy talented. In March, Baylor sororities and fraternities take the stage for SING!; 3-4 hours of mostly Broadway quality musical performances ( Of course, there were a couple who were so bad they were good- and they really ham it up). The annual show sells out in January, so going to the show on campus was not an option. Fortunately, the Hippodrome theatre downtown lifestreams the show. First of all, the theatre is a beautiful piece of local history. While watching the show via live-stream does mean you won't get to experience the energy within the packed house in Waco Hall, you will get to see the show, sit in padded chairs, and enjoy table service throughout the evening. Our servers were fantastic! We had eaten a late lunch, so we ordered drinks and snacks early on, and warm cookies with milk towards the end of the evening. Fun! We purchased tickets at the theater, but others purchased their tickets online through Baylor's performing arts site.
