Well worth a visit.
This free park features two wooded trails with statues and information about the nation's wars. I really enjoyed the statues by J. Payne Lara and was touched by the Vietnam Memorial. Make this a stop when you visit College Station.

Thanks College Station!!!
What a great park for young & old to enjoy!! While walking through with our grandchildren (ages 11,8 & 5) they asked questions about their Great & Great Great Grandparents who served in WW I & WWII. My husband & I are anxious to return to the park & read the descriptive plaques in-depth. Thank you College Station for this lovely peaceful respite among the sports fields which BTW are very nice & well kept.

YOU MUST SEE IT
The park itself is easy to find - but the trail takes a little more work. Midway while driving through, if you look to the left, you’ll see the 3-D statue. You can walk through the entire path in about 30 minutes or so. Wear mosquito repellent. Very lifelike sculptures, and highlights a lot of sacrifice by our military. I got very excited when I saw Rosie the riveter. Hubby was going on little sleep, so he was pretty silly, but as an Army veteran, the sacrifice wasn’t lost on us. It’s beautiful.
