Nothing Special
Craft beer was nothing memorable. Middleton in Wimberley was much better. The food was great in the food truck. The facility was very nice.

BBQ crawl stop #8 & 9
First, we left Wimberley headed to Dripping Springs. Then Scott saw a sign for the Cypress Creek Reserve Rum Distillery. A quick U turn and we were on a back road to greatness. I can't find this distillery on Tripadvisor so will review it here, along with Twisted X. Dave, the owner of the distillery was on hand to give us the lowdown on hill country rum distillation. He has two rums, a clear and a vanilla flavored. Both were smooth and easy to sip. The vanilla was mild with just a hint of vanilla. This is greatness that comes from very humble environs. Dave is expanding his operations to include a pavilion for tastings and such, Much luck to him and his fine rum. Twisted x is a brewery serving sort of reworked Mexican staples with a few non mainstream brews in there. They were busy enough on a Saturday afternoon but service was efficient. Sat at the outside tables and shared a flight of the 7 beers on tap. They were all okay, a couple were standouts, but, frankly, at this point in the day with a belly full of beef and beer I can't remember which was which.
