West Texas Jewel
Truly would be a civic gem in any city and I’ve visited landmark venues in L.A., S.F., Chicago, and London (UK), as well as Moscow and St. Petersburg (RU). Well used but not worn out, with fine acoustics and nice sound system. Many three to four star restaurants and safe parking facilities in close proximity make The Plaza Theatre a “must see” for El Pasoans and visitors alike!

Don't miss this venue!
I can't say enough about the Plaza Theater! The annual film festival is definitely worth a visit. The year we were there, Debbie Reynolds introduced her vintage movies. We also saw a production of the Bridge on the River Kwai, and there was a live organist and all the veterans stood and saluted during the production. Memorable!

Great Restoration
This was an old movie theater that was run down and in ruins, However, the theater was the subject of a complete renovation. For the most part, the theater is used for bands like Chicago and other live acts. I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. I sat in the balcony once and had a great view of the show. Binoculars not needed. Prices are commensurate with the performing group.
