Early Valentine’s Day Lunch

I was not familiar with all the restaurants along the Woodlands Waterway. But last weekend on an early Valentine’s Day date with my husband. We came across The Gooses Acre. Enjoyable music coming from the outside patio area. Staff and service was friendly and prompt. Had the sampler platter very pleased. And the wait staff went way beyond on their service and making it a personal experience. Prices were very reasonable and atmosphere felt like a Pub.

    Nice Brunch
Haven't been here for years. But heard they had a great brunch at a very reasonable price. The brunch has a nice assortment of breakfast and lunch type items, including an omelette station, bagels and lox, pastries and a darn awesome bread pudding! Mimosas and blood mary's are also on special. You can also order off the menu if you desire. Service is casual as is the whole restaurant. It wasn't overly busy either. Sp, why is this pub listed as and "attraction" instead of a restaurant?

    Lacking everything What a shame
Recently my family ate at Gooses Acre for a special occasion. We hadnt been there in awhile but were really looking forward to fish and chips because we had just returned from London. Wow! Very upsetting. Apparently either they've had a change in management or chefs. All 4 of our meals were really inedible. One of our meals had to be returned because every item on the plate was undercooked. One of the meals looked just like dog food and I would be ashamed to serve something looking like that. The others that were powered through were absolutely without taste. This used to be our go to place when people visited or when we craved different. We will not be returning. What a shame. Plus it looks like the restaurant has not had a good cleaning since it opened. Maybe management should get with the program. We noticed America's bit the dust too. Just saying.
