Top notch aquarium
The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit.

Top notch aquarium
This aquarium has figured out a way to create an experience right from the beginning. As you que to get in there are animals for you to see and staff to greet you. We took an Uber so I can’t speak to the parking but there for sure is a lot on site. It did look to fill up quickly and in a busy area so I do recommend walk or cab if it makes sense for you. The kids were excited the whole time we were there. While there are some tropical and humid areas you are mostly inside and shielded from the heat. We spent over 3 hours enjoying the many exhibits they had available. There are also a number of restaurants on site. If you’re going to sit and eat to take a break I recommend the 18-0-1 on the bottom floor. There were a couple other spots to eat that looked a little less organized.

Enjoyable time with the family
Four adults with two children and everyone had a good time. First time there so we definitely used the map/handout. We went during the week so it wasn't as crowded as we have heard the weekends can get. The exhibit is multi level with many turns with nooks and crannies to view different birds, amphibians, reptiles, fish, etc. While it does state aquarium there is more than just fish. Lush vegetation with waterfalls throughout. Of course there are souvenir shops so the kids found something they wanted. Also multiple eating places available inside. A bit expensive so don't rush to get through it. Take your time and enjoy.
