Color, Aroma and Togetherness
The Antique Rose Emporium is a bit out of way, but well worth the drive if you appreciate acres of color in a country setting. Just minutes outside of Brenham, home to the famous Bluebell Creamery, the Antique Rose Emporium is so much more than a rural nursery. Its pathways are filled with beautifully unfamiliar varieties of roses, as well as the common sorts of flowers that we've all seen but never taken the time to appreciate. A wedding chapel, farm houses, and log buildings pepper the property among towering oaks. Feel free to sit back on a wooden bench and listen to the sound of song birds and honey bees, or put in your daily steps along the well manicured trails... either way it's a relaxing outing in the Texas countryside. The Antique Rose Emporium is minutes east of Brenhan off Highway 105 at Farm to Market route FM 50.

Relaxing rural garden
The past visit was unfortunately not as good as it typically is. First of all it is a beautiful relaxing drive from Houston. The selection this time was fairly sparse compared to usual. Not sure if it was the weather previously since there was a freeze that had hit Texas before we had gotten there. The supply of vegetable starters was great. The potted rose supply was less than half of the usual. This won’t prevent us from coming back in the future. Give it a try. Enjoy.
