Fantastic stop for lots of reasons
This Texas travel info center is the real deal. The folks who cover this well kept center are extremely friendly and helpful. The place is loaded with information for the traveler and not just Amarillo. The bathroom are spotless. The area around the spacious parking lot is well appointed. There are picnic tables around, but so are the signs about the possibility of snakes in the wild areas.

Quick stop for photos - bathrooms closed
Stopped off 40 to take a quick break and get a photo with a Texas sign and take a restroom break. Unfortunately the whole building appeared closed and coned off, probably due to the recent weather. It was still a beautiful area and seemed like a very nice building. We did hear some rattlesnakes so be careful!

Excellent Texas Travel Center
This place was easily accasable from highway. Super spacious and clean. Excellent customer service for the staff. Very knowledgeable of the Amarillo area and all of Route 66. Huge amount of travel brochures from all over the state. Large clean restrooms. Ample parking. Great place to stop.
