Beautiful Rest Area with AC Indoors
This large, modern, well-signed rest area was a welcome sight! Parking was easy to find. Lots were separated for truck and car parking. The area had smooth, concrete walkways. The grounds had freshly cut lawns, picnic tables, a child-friendly playground, working vending machines, and helpful travel information displays. A rest area attendant was on duty inside, but we saw no police during our half-hour rest stop. A ceramic tile portrait of a local Indian chief was an entirely unexpected surprise. In the nearly 100-degree summer heat, the air-conditioned restroom was more than welcome. If travelers need to make a pit stop, this is a fine place for one.
