Small Local Park Great for Families and Creek Walks
This was a great park for young families, judging by how many were there. It had gated, off-street parking in a small paved lot. It was a shaded, 111-acre (44.92 ha) public space with 0.75 miles (1.2 km) of well-marked, natural surface walking trail through woodlands and along Cypress Creek. The trail had easy grades and would be scenic if one enjoys seeing and exploring creek landscapes. A small playground, restrooms, and several sheltered picnic tables were among the park’s family-centered amenities. A historical marker described how the park had once been a homestead. If you plan to stay long, bring bug dope to fend off creek-side mosquito swarms – chances are you’ll need it! I least liked the minimal parking available for visitors. I most liked the historical marker and all the shade everywhere.

Spooky for some reason
Nice little neighborhood park with access to cypress creek. Park floods when the creek floods, about 2-3 times a year. But it is isolated by the creek, and makes my wife nervous. Me too I must admit, I could imagine homeless living back there, but have never seen that.
