A Great Place to Live
We live in Del Webb's Sun City, Georgetown, Texas. It is a wonderful place to live. There are three public golf courses, an expanded arts and crafts center, trips ranging from local to world wide, an expanded wood working shop, an activities center for games, a 700 member computer club with Dell and Valley retirees, a photography club with accomplished photographers, a huge club for socializing, a Community Association building with dance floor and stage, a small Central Market and the list goes on and on. It is a pleasure to be the irrigator for the Horticulture Club with 265 5X25 irrigated vegetable beds where we grow year round. We grow grapes, fruit trees and herbs. There ae over 300 members who volunteer to maintain the 900 foot well, 5,000 gallon supply tank, green house, plant nursery and the rest of the facility. Sun City is approximately 5 miles west of I 35 off of Williams Drive. There are about 5,500 homes and probably in excess of 3,000 street legal golf carts. Restrictive
Sun City is a great place to live if you are a rule follower. There are restrictions on the number of trees you can have, how far apart they should be, how much your garage door can be open, etc. The area is attractive, but there are even area patrols that report rule breakers.
