Among the best Texas wines! Nice facilities! Very pleasant!
Spicewood Vineyards is somewhat out of the way, though not very far from Austin. Still, the fact that we rarely drove nearby on our way to the Hill Country left it as a winery we needed to visit. And yesterday we finally got there. I knew they made good wines but I had never tasted their full slate of wines and I am pleased to report that the wines are consistently well made and appealing - and among the better wines in the state. Bottle prices are reasonable and have good QPR (quality/price ratio). The staff is friendly and personable. And there are great places to sort and enjoy a glass or bottle and a spectacular cheese plate. Highly recommended!

Good wines. Very Plesasant. Great staff.
Stopped by to pick up wine and taste new releases. Spicewood has good wines at reasonable prices. Being off the main road makes it a quiet, appealing place to taste and have a glass or two of wine. The facilities are very comfortable and pleasant. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable and add to the appeal. We like it as a "closer to town" destination for a picnic or afternoon outing. Recommended!

Definitely worth a trip!
Stopped by to check out their new releases and had a great tasting with Paul! This was our second visit this year and once again the wines impressed. The facilities are comfortable and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We like them! And it is a very pleasant location to drink a glass or share a bottle. Recommended! And if you decide to go, don't give up. They are an oasis at the end of the road. And a place to look forward to.
