    Beautiful Multi-use park!
I visited the Williamson County Regional Park while traveling around the county roads one day. It is a great park with baseball, football/soccer fields, hiking trails, a splash pad and a little train depot for the kiddos. When our kids were in their teen years we would come up here for lacrosse tournaments. The train rides look fun for small families. All in all it is a great park for many uses.

    Large park
This is a behemoth of a county park with about 800 acres. In the front country there are walking trails, ball fields soccer fields and even a small stadium with a football field and quarter mile running track. Stadium bleachers are accessible as are all other parts of the front country. The back country is endless acres crisscrossed by numerous trails. Today Quincy and I headed out the Jim Rogers Trail a 1.8 mile loop. Although not a challenging hike it was nice through low growing trees and grasslands typical to Texas. Near the end we encountered the Highlands Trail and being North Carolina Hikers we go anywhere that says highlands. Unfortunately this Highlands Trail took us about 1/2 mile to a neighborhood. but it was rocky instead for a wood chip covered trail. The park also has a children's railroad ride.
