Cool area to walk
Each time we visit Austin, we try to come here to spend some time, walking up & down the street & visiting the unique shops & restaurants. This visit we spent a 2 hours cruising up one side & down the other of this street. We stopped in a bunch of shops to see their unique items. @ negatives - I don't like the prking on SoCo where you have to back in. The other thing is the amount of new construction here. They are building large buildings & taking away some of the cool vibe this area has. Growth is not always good.

A Fun, Quirky Shopping Experience
This district has lots of art and food options. The shops seem to cater largely to tourists, but in a way that's fun and authentic feeling. If you're looking for something to help you "Keep Austin Weird", this is the place.
