Gorgeous oasis after a short desert climb
Easy to moderate loop climb of 2.5 miles to a lush area fed by a clear spring. On a cool November day the sunny climb was easy, but I suspect it would be toasty in the summer. Gorgeous.

Climb to a Desert Oasis
The Smith Spring Trail Loop is a fun half day loop. You start at a farm with picnic facilities, climb the mountain to the spring. Gorgeous natural landscaping - kind of an oasis on the side of the mountain desert. The return trip goes down a different path, also with great scenery. Well marked trail.
