    A favorite of mine
I come here all the time with friends, family, or by myself. There are always at least a few people around, older people, families, college students... People frequently bring their dogs, but they are always on a leash. It's a great place for a nice walk or a bike ride. The azaleas are beautiful in the springtime, and the trails smell fantastic. Nearby are several other trails, Pecan Park, and the Ag pond. The art installations change periodically and are always interesting to look at!

Overwhelming when blooming (now often Feb.-Mar.)
At practically any time of the year in temperate-to-steamy Nac, this is a wonderful, peaceful, natural retreat. A gorgeous walk through magnificent dense greenery. When the azaleas are in bloom, it's jaw-dropping. This seems to be happening earlier and earlier--I think they peaked around the end of February this year. Whenever you come, linger to enjoy the marvelous public art provided by Sculpture For All--about a dozen delightfully varied pieces as beautiful as they are surprising. Until 2019 the one that will pull you up short and have you pulling out your camera phone is "Message to Mankind"--really stunning especially in this gorgeous verdant setting.
