Antiques are fitting for historic Route 66
This mile-long stretch of road originally belonging to Route 66, now features shops, clubs and restaurants. Favorites include the Nat Ballroom, currently an antiques store, but a former stop for the Big Bands that passed through Amarillo, and the Golden Light Café, where the best hamburgers in town have been served for more than 50 years.

Spread around the town
A few bits of old nostalgic route 66 memorabilia spread out around the town but nothing too exciting. Not great for kids as they don't really get it but the adults did enjoy the few bits we saw. If you blink you miss the stuff so watch out.

Hard to find using Google Maps
We should have known it would not be great when Google maps kept taking us to the wrong area (Use 6th avenue and Georgia street). The antique store was closed by the time we arrived and we already ate, so not much to do except drive by and take pictures. We enjoyed driving through Decatur more.
