Rose Rudman Recreational Trail, Texas, United States

4.5 (49 reviews) Spent Ranking #13 in Tyler Hiking Trails

Something for all

The Rudman trail is a true Jem. This network of trails, comprised of 4 individual paths is paved, double wide trail that winds through South Tyler. Rudman Loop 1.2 miles, Southside Trail .5 miles, Creekside Trial .75 miles and Grande Trail 1.7 miles. Several of the trails go end/begin at parks. This makes it very convenient if you are walking, running, biking with children. Playground equip, bathrooms, water fountains, etc can be found. The trails offer a challenge in both distance and in elevation. You can link trails or sections of trails to "change it up." Tyler is planning expansion of this trail system to incorporate new areas. As this grows, I forse local businesses catering to trail goers. The trail is well maintained, patrolled by Tyler PD Bike police, great landscaping, great shade, family friendly and open daily until Midnight.

Great walk on the Rose Rudman Trail
If you visit Tyler and need a nice place to walk with your Dog .. this is the place to go. Great Bridges even one like Paris had with the Locks of Love attached to it.

    Very Relaxing
This trail is truly a gem within the city of Tyler. It features wide concrete pathways with plenty of room for bicyclist to maneuver around walkers and runners. Even on some of the hottest and most humid Texas day’s you’ll find a breeze blowing under the canopy of trees along the route. One can walk the entire trail without crossing a busy street since there are underpasses where the trail continues without the need to get on the street. Water fountains, exercise stations and rest stops make this a wonderful place to spend a few hours of the day.
