    Beautiful
My husband and I always enjoy walking on the one mile tree lined sidewalk along Cibolo Creek. The narrow park is 50 to 70 feet wide (between Cibolo Creek and Hwy 46). Hwy 46 is quite busy and somewhat noisy. There were nearly 50 ducks and geese. They were eager for handouts. A sign says not to feed the wildlife. The park has many picnic tables, a water fountain, restrooms and a couple fishing piers. No water was running over the dam like it does on my most recent trips. Parking is along the street and is limited. There is no charge for visiting the park or for parking.

    Great walk and nicely maintained.
This is a wonderful town with an assortment of places to go and things to do. If you want to take a break from shopping, consider a short detour to take a leisurely walk along the river. You can easily park at many locations in town and walk to the river trail. The paved trail goes from one side of downtown to the other with access also from some businesses/shops along Main St. One end on river road has restrooms, picnic tables and is right along the river for a picnic or just to relax and watch the multitude of ducks. You can walk the paved trail under the bridge and around behind businesses on Main as you see the river wind. Along the way are some nice art sculptures. If you walk the entire length you will end up past the main square. This is always an enjoyable area that is nicely maintained.
