The highlight of our family gathering !
Extraordinary service and hospitality! Jamie delivered the kayaks and paddleboards we needed directly to the property we rented on the Colorado River. Paddling was the highlight of our family gathering. And after our downstream adventure, Rising Phoenix met us in Smithville and provided transportation back to the VRBO. More importantly, Jamie kept us informed of the river and weather conditions so we could choose the optimum time for paddling. Couldn't have been better!

Jamie has a HEART OF GOLD!!!
On November 6, 2020 I found myself at Rising Phoenix Adventures in Bastrop, Texas trying to get my bicycle repaired so that I could continue my cross-country bicycle journey. I found out that Rising Phoenix does NOT offer bicycle repairs, but more importantly I found out that the owner, Jamie has a HEART OF GOLD!!! Jamie is an extremely kind and generous person who stopped what she was doing and personally drove me all the way to Austin, Texas so that my bicycle could be repaired that same day. Jamie even waited for the repairs to be completed and drove me back to Bastrop, Texas so that I could promptly continue my epic journey. This generous act of kindness was all done without any charge/fee to me. Jamie did it all out of the goodness of her heart! If your adventure group is treated even half as good as Jamie treated myself (a non-customer), then you will be very happy with your experience with Rising Phoenix Adventures and owner, Jamie!!!

This is the kind of small business owner that makes you want to come back!
We haven’t even made it to the river yet but all of the positive reviews you are reading are true! We booked a somewhat last minute camping trip and were limited in our state park choices. I was a little hesitant about going to Buescher State Park with the lake inaccessible because of the dam. We called Jami to see about renting some kayaks so we could still find a way to get on the water in this heat. Jami not only has incredible rental rates (way more reasonable than another rental place nearby), she has a generous heart and she got me excited to visit the area! This is the kind of business owner that makes you want to come back again and again. I instantly felt at ease with her and this is just from our phone interaction. Jami truly cares that visitors enjoy all the area has to offer and listed a couple of ways we can soak in our experience there with or without the lake access! Thank you, Jami!!
